"I am having fun here, sharing stories of what I have learned after some 25 years of doing startups, with maybe some observations about the workplace, culture and other things that interest or amuse me,...and hopefully, you."

Nice! … and yes, “work” is truly what we spend out days doing. It’s not (always) about continually pursuing our passions and wringing out the last drops of joy from our day. Sometimes it is simply work that spurs brow-sweating results. Often, the satisfaction and joy stems from the outcome versus the process, and we must remember that digging in, feeling the intellectual and/or physical rigor of our work day is intended to net the greatest gains, both for our clients and for ourselves.
“… and This Is Why They Call It Work.” Yes!

Exactly, Jacqui, exactly. Work, not play…or…
I know how they feel, sometimes it does feel like all work and no play, but it is what pays the bills, so must carry on strong. One of my friends made my day last week, she sent me a great free electronic greeting card to my work e-mail address. It was so nice to receive something fun and it really brightened up my day. I sent her one back to say thanks. It made the rest of my day go much faster!
