Ask almost any successful person what contributed mostly to their success, and if they honest with you, they will say that they had an overwhelming need to prove something, or to prove to themselves or someone else just how smart they were/are.  Or, as Wally Bock so artfully addresses in his post today about HOME DEPOT, often it is because you were fired…come to think about it, getting fired is the same reason.
