I’ve been trying to figure out how to use “defenestration” in a blog post because it is just so descriptive. It means the act of throwing a person or thing out of the window. See, you learned something new today, maybe. For me, a word used is a word remembered.
Earlier today I wrote that we needed someone, a commentator perhaps, who could artfully embarrass stupid politicians and erstwhile leaders who do and say stupid things. The example given was Barbara Walters who was chatting about vibrators on national TV.
And then, so you can see just how this is done, I saw this YOUTUBE video of a British politician speaking in such a way. This is classic. Seriously. Yet not mean-spirited or hateful.

You are genius x
No, the video is genius.
I absolutely love the skillful use of a language in a good cause. And this absolutely qualifies!
It is no wonder that the British think in general that Americans do not speak the English language.
Conrad, me too. If I had Elinor H/s email I would send it to her.
Brilliant!!
