On Monday, December 15, my new book DIG YOUR JOB officially launches with a review by Playboy (no pics). Early orders are being taken at the DIG YOUR JOB website, go here to purchase via Amazon or for a pdf download. On Monday, a paperback book option will be included.
My following friends were kind enough to review the book and tell you how they liked it. I appreciate it. There are a lot of people to thank, including 58 ‘normal’ people who contributed stories of career advice from their dads (included in the book).

I wish I’d had G.L. Hoffman’s DIG YOUR JOB when I left the comfort of schoolfor my first job and struggled to understand the harsh realities of the working world. His wise advice and practical how-to tips would’ve saved me from making career blunders in my youth many years ago – and it will definitely do the same for today’s young workers just beginning their careers. But it goes beyond being a helpful guide for new employees. As a Baby Boomer who
has been working for longer than I care to remember, I was very impressed with G.L.’s insights and recommendations, and learned several strategies that I know will help me to continue advancing in my career. I particularly enjoyed reading about “The Art of Getting Ahead,” and as a Boomer, I got a big kick out of “How Gen Y Can Handle the Baby Boomers at Work.” Hilarious (and so true)! Wrapping up his book with a chapter sharing career advice (good and bad) from many dads was the icing on the cake. Anyone interested in having a successful career should dig into DIG YOUR JOB!
– Bonnie Lowe, www.Best-Interview-Strategies.com

But there is more to DIG YOUR JOB than just career advice. What you get here is a book jam-packed with much-needed wisdom that could be applied to just about any other area of your life. “Don’t blame others,” “Worry is the misuse of your imagination,” “Change your attitude” – G.L. doesn’t mince words in
making it clear: no one but you is responsible for your happiness, whether at work or in life. Following G.L.’s advice will not just make you better at crafting a career of your dreams: it will help you build a better life.”
