For those of you who missed this bit of news, Plaxico Burress is the New York Giants’ wide receiver who shot himself in the leg the other night at a nightclub.  He’s now in serious trouble with the law, never mind Coach Tom Caughlin who looks angry all the time, anyway. Since I know that professional teams restrict players from recreational sports like  snow skiing and snowboarding you’d think the Giants, last year’s Super Bowl winner, would have a rule against carrying loaded guns in your sweatpants with the safety off.  Maybe not.

Obviously, it was not his fault.  The gun started slipping down his leg, he grabbed it, hit the trigger and it went off.  Coulda happened to anyone.  Picturing the gun jammed in his pants like some pistol-packin, modern day SuperFly, he is mighty lucky he got hit in the thigh if you catch my drift.
