I am on the East Coast this week on vacation, I am not hiding under a chair after that Ron Paul post. I have turned my computer and phone off, except for the gee-whiz GPS feature of my IPHONE.

But in case you haven’t driven on the east coast in a while, here’s a tip:

Don’t.

On the positive side, do you know that Cisco has created this entire product line, Telepresence I think it is called, where they will create a half=conference room in your office and the other half in a spot far, far away so you can have virtual meetings. It is like being on one side of the conference table and people in another spot are on the other side. It is SO realistic. If only I liked meetings more. A friend out here sells these and believes it will be just like fax machines..a novelty first, then a business requirement. For an ever-declining investment in the equipment (a home version is on the way, he says), business can be conducted face to face without the time and hassle of travel. Hmm, another reason to short the airlines.

And, lobster people in Maine are still upset because Whole Foods decided NOT to buy lobsters from Maine, but from Canada, because Maine lobstermen did not treat the lobsters they caught humanely. I actually like Whole Foods and want to support them, but this is just downright silly.

Ok, now just you watch, PETA will be out in force and all over me like white on rice.
