(How to get this badge for your blog.)
I am being told today that this blog just passed the million (1,000,000) hits barrier. It sounds like a lot. Hits are great, but not as good as the fact that nearly 400,000 people have read this blog. Amazing. I am humbly kicking the dirt under my computer as I type this.
To me, it mostly means that anything having to do with the world of work attracts readers. People want to know how to do better, achieve more, handle more, contribute more, or just find their next job. Here at Jobdig, we are doing whatever we can to help our readers and website visitors find more happiness at their current or future job.
Our kicker text—”Because everyone should dig their job—is a noble goal we have here at the company, and by affiliation, if not attitude, here at this blog. We believe that everyone wants to dig their job.
We love to tell stories about great work place environments and experiences. All of us can learn from others’ stories about some workplace experience. To that end, we are announcing today, the DIG YOUR JOB badge program.
If you write a blog post about a positive workplace experience, or maybe just advice…just let me know via a link and I will send you this badge for your blog.
It is a simple way of letting others know you Dig Your Job and that, in a small way, you are contributing to the positive interchange of stories and ideas.

Congrats GL… keep up the good work.
Suffice it to say, having launched 4 companies already, I think you have a knack for building and growing things that people actually care about.
It’s a talent most would kill for.

Wow — 1,000,000 hits! Congratulations!
You’re dead-on when you say that thousands upon thousands of readers indicates that people want to do more, do better, and actually enjoy their jobs. And often, inspirational posts from bloggers like you can really help folks survive a particularly tough work day.
Keep up the great work!

That’s fabulous! A million hits is a milestone–don’t forget to celebrate (champagne, sparkling cider, hot chocolate, latte).
Celebrate every step along the way……’cause if you don’t, who will?
What I like is that you seem to me to only be starting to find your voice and style. This blog is getting better all the time.
Here’s to the next million!
Thanks Conrad. When are you going to get started on YOUR blog? I think our classmates would love to read what YOU have to have to say, even Chuck.
Actually, I was just thinking about a blog this morning. I haven’t closed the door entirely on running for School Board here, but it isn’t open very far. I don’t think at this stage that I want to be tied down with what it would take to do it right in this city. Sometimes, duty isn’t enough.
Carly is graduating, so I won’t have the choir responsibilities. I’m thinking mid summer or so. I’ll need your help to work on getting the right tools, etc. Then, I’d like to get creative and see what my college daughter and my mother (who was a pretty decent reporter in her day) would like to contribute. In fact, I’d love to have a Corky’s Corner and a Carly’s Corner on the blog.
Kudos and congrats on the million pops. And thanks for the recognition. I’ve already added my new bling to my crawlspace.
I’ve been digging “What Dad Says” for a long time now! Sometimes GL, you help me see something in a new way… Your tips are always so practical, like a Dad giving his kids the very best advice. Love the name you chose for your blog. Other times, I just enjoy stopping by for a laugh.
GL, I’m sporting my Job Dig badge on my blog now. Thanks for the recognition!
Wow — what an accomplishment GL — and thanks for letting us all share it with you in such a cool way. Not surprising though!
No wonder “What Would Dad Say?” has done done so well! This site is always alive with stories, useful tips and humor to boot!
Makes a person want to do well at work and find ways to inspire others to do the same. You’re the real winner GL and it’s fun to be a part of that party! Thanks GL and What Would Dad Say community!
A whole million……WOW! This blog thing is cool and I’ll be glad when Con gets his up and rolling. You have done an excellent job with yours and this comes from someone that had never ever seen “a blog” until Con showed me what to do to (after he fixed me a shortcut so I don’t even have to type in your address) reach yours. As a pretty much house bound caregiver, things like your articles make my life much more interesting…….keep up the good work……even us old folks can only take so much TV!!!
