You are right, Karen, working girl, as usual. I am interested in what they do with their new found power, but you know what else? Since most of the events impacted us before we were 25, I am wondering if they can identify NOW those things that will shape their own lives in the future. I am not sure I would have been able to view the perspective 25- 30 years ago. I wonder what the events will be for THEM?

That was fun to read. Now we need a reaction from a Gen X or Y-er. (Hmmm, would they actually have the patience to read it?)

Only one quibble. I do think every generation wonders why their children “aren’t like them.” I know for sure my own parents asked themselves how their children, fruit of their loins, could be such alien beings. Which makes me wonder if this isn’t a phenomenon of every generation.

Me, I can’t wait to see what the next group is going to do with their power, when they get it.

I would like to comment–but my problem is where do I start—your turn of a phrase like “deep seated, heart punishing” explains why grandparents never shared much, and to think I thought a picture of my dad and 3 other siblings sitting on an old horse in snow was cute. (It was their ride to school)
My own children just don’t understand “connected by blood, accepted no matter what”
But like you said—”been there, done that”
