One thing us boomers like to do is complain about the lack of financial acumen of our kids, the twentysomethings.  And then, it being Christmas—you were home, gotcha!!, we go from pure complaining to advice-giving.   It’s what we do best.

It’s in that spirit that I embark on some advice-giving on these matters of my own.  Since Maddox HIMSELF has not yet weighed in yet on this subject, I thought you would appreciate reading some other bloggers of your own age, not some old guy fart.  These are more like diaries than Suze Orman’s crap writings, but at least you can read about how others have coped, saved, bought, bartered and began digging themselves out of the proverbial money hole.

Some are interesting to read if only for the diary aspect–Nicole’s at Budgeting Babe, or Wanda’s at Well-Heeled With a Mission.  Others seem particularly effective at making do with less, like Krystal of Give ME Back My Five Bucks or young Mollie at An English Major Money.

Others are funny…beachgirlsbudgetblog is a stitch as is Punny Money and The Captain is Out to Lunch and Young and Broke.

Thanks to the WSJ for their help in locating these bloggers.
