Ever have a sales person forget to ask for the order? It is the most common problem with young sales forces…asking for the order.
Inexperienced sales reps miss important and obvious buying signals,often. We have even heard reps try to justify their approach of silently awaiting for the prospect to say, “here, take my money.” I don’t want to be pushy or creep them out, they say.
Grrrrrr.
It’s like having a waiter come up to your table and just stand there. Even the worst waiter will ASK FOR THE ORDER. I don’t ever recall being ‘creeped out’ at the waiter when he does that.

The old saying “People don’t like to be sold, but they love to buy” is so true and usually comes as the result of building a relationship. Product/service knowlege and passion for what you do create an environment that makes people want to buy.
