It was really fun to go back and visit some old friends.   Ahhh….the stories.
What was especially fascinating to me was what some people remembered and what others, mostly me, didn’t.
I spent too much time shaking my head yes when someone said, “Hey, remember the time….” when I really didn’t. Kenny remembered the day I showed up at kindergarten fergoodnesssake.  And Conrad remembered us chasing some kids down when they rode their bikes through his parents’ new yard. And then, there were things I remembered that got blank looks back, too.
Anyway, the people in my high school class and their families have had a bigger impact on my life than I had thought.

What reunion year was it? I went to my 15th (I think) high school reunion. It was an interesting experience but I never expect to go again.
It was 40…I think by the 40th all the career competitiveness was gone, so we just enjoyed the company and the history.
Amen to everything you said. And did you notice the hidden talent that High School managed to obscure? There was a lot of accomplishment for a class about which I overheard one of our teachers at graduation say to another, “This is a do-nothing class.”
Also, one of the really nice signs – everyone made my wife feel like family. That’s good stuff.
