1. You can do or be anything.
2. Be always aware of your surroundings.
3. Assume goodwill, but carry your mace.
4. Don’t chew gum.
5. Sometimes it simply isn’t fair.
6. Never act less than you are.
7. Wide-outs, receivers, flankers, ends are all the same…they go out and catch passes.
8. Understand that we get just the same thrill watching you play soccer, gymnastics or dance as we do watching a football game.
9. You probably will have to be t-h-i-s much smarter, wiser, nicer. See number 5.
10. No matter what, when or where—trust your dad.

Thank You, Conrad. Daughters ARE special aren’t they. I had ‘try to be even-keeled’ but thought better of it.
Well, she informed me that she was going to ignore the one about chewing gum.
You have done as well with the girls as you have the boy – kudos from a daughter with four daughters herself!
From a dad with 3 daughters —great list–2 is my favorite, and the hardest to teach.
