(Not Scott Drill and Bill Gates,
1974 give or take)

Q: Seriously, you played poker against Bill Gates?

A: Yes, a lot sometimes 3-4 times a week. Sometimes 24 hours straight.

Q: Where was this?

A: Harvard, 1973-1975.

Q: How would you describe him back then?

A: Nice guy. Computer geek. Poor hygiene.

Q: Was there any indication that he would go on to own the World?

A: None.

Q: What did you and your friends think about him back then, honestly?

A: Smart, friendly, obsessed with computers and poker.

Q: Did you have any nicknames for him?

A: Gravy Train Gates.

Q: Did you hang out with him or just play poker?

A: Just poker.

Q: Was he a good poker player?

A: Only fair.

Q: Do you stay in touch with him now?

A: No.

Q: Would you like to play poker with him now?

A: Yes.

Q: If he is reading this, what would you say to him?

A: Congratulations on all your success. Sorry I have been quoted in various publications about your previously poor hygiene. Let’s play poker.
