grad06-colbert-210ss.jpg I thought it would be helpful if i researched the 2006 Commencement Speeches so that you could find the best nuggets of wisdom.

But then I realized that most of them are very forgettable. I solved this problem once, myself, when I gave the commencement speech at my old high school ( not a big deal), and gave each graduate a bag of M and M’s. Now, I have been told, it is customary for the speaker to give out some kind of candy after their speech—does this qualify as a ‘legacy?’

Anyway, I read several of the 2006 Graduation Speeches,  but got quickly bored. However, Stephen Colbert’s speech was soooo different I thought you might like to hear his advice to the 2006 graduates of Knox College.

Oh, I read both Condi Rice’s and Steve Jobs’. But I can’t remember anything about them, sorry.
