Posting Applications Strengthen Performance

Any HR professional or recruiter that has gone through the process of manually entering job requisitions into CareerBuilder, Monster or any other job board knows it is a pain. This pain continues to grow as the number of job requisition increase, however, the bigger issue is whether or not they are monitoring their ROI. It is one thing to know where a candidate comes from and quite another to know the historical performance of hiring campaigns. I’m almost certain that the majority of folks posting to job boards manually are not necessarily aware of the overall performance.

So how can they change their practice to get the information they need to make better decisions when it comes time to post? It really comes down to the two following options:

  1. They can start recording performance using the information available from the job board sites. However, this can be a complicated process that extents the amount of administrative burden.
  2. They can try using a posting application offered by a number of different vendors. This is certainly the option I recommend.

Using a posting applicant can cost a little more up front, but offers long term value with greater savings. Posting applications offer a number of different advantages. The following are just a few of the highlights:

  • Automatic posting to multiple job boards from a single job description
  • Offers a wide menu of job boards that can focus on skill, industry, free, local, college, and/or diversity
  • The ability to generate decision support by viewing the success of past campaign performance from automatic tracking and detail reports
  • Unique promotions or discounts for specific job boards
  • Some offer integration with applicant tracking systems (ATS) for a more seamless workflow. Click here to check out Arbita’s new offering.

If you know of any other vendors, please let me know and I will add them to the list.

  1. Good evening ,

I found a good source of education jobs and teaching jobs here is a new site called EducationCrossing.

The reason I am even bothering to mention the site is that EducationCrossing investigates all of the education jobs and teacher jobs from other job boards and employer websites (i.e., school and university sites) and gets them all on its site . I have been using the site and although happily employed am enjoying browsing the openings on the site immensely. I have found some listings to be out of date but still think it is a good resource.
