Tip of the Week – Send to a Friend
Posted on August 29th, 2008 by Jake Stupak
Most applicant tracking systems (ATS) have an integrated component that plugs into a website creating an application portal. This portal can list information about the company, however, it is most important because it posts current job openings. Depending on the ATS, the portal can also offer visitors the ability to send an email about a particular job position to a friend.
This week’s tip is to send yourself a position from your applicant portal. This will enable you to review the accuracy of the information and ensure the branding and functionality is correct.

This system hasn’t integrated with Monster, our background check vendor (Verifications) and oh, the background can only be check if the person in your ATS hasn’t applied to any previous positions with you…the “integration” doesn’t know what to do if say someone applies to 2 positions and is hired in to the second. Your tip on the send to a friend is a good one as the integration with America’s Job Exchange which is required for OFCCP compliance seems to be broken as well. This might save us from big trouble. Thanks
