New Widget for Jobs Now Available
Friday, September 12th, 2008A sure-fire way to add traffic to sites and blogs is to provide information of interest to your visitors. The more frequently this information is updated and changed, the better. Your visitors love being fed timely “stuff.”
Here is a new offer from us that is FREE and is sure to build YOUR traffic. It is a widget from LINKUP.
LinkUp is our site that finds, scans and then presents ONLY jobs from company websites, not from job boards.
Most of these jobs are NOT even advertised outside the company’s own website. LinkUp saves jobseekers the hassle of finding the correct url of the company, location and so forth.
Here is how our new LinkUp widget works. Visit LinkUp widget page here. Let’s say you are a blogger in St Louis, MO. It is easy to go to the linkup widget page here.
There you can build your very own widget and place on your blog. Here is what the St Louis widget would look like. It now places all the unadvertised jobs in St Louis on your blog.
Wait, there is more. Let’s say that you blog about health care issues. You can visit the linkup widget page and create a job widget that showcases only
health care related jobs, using cna’s, RNs, etc in your keywords. Here is what that widget would look like, again showing all health care jobs but finely tuned for your site and readers.
Wait there is more. Let’s say you write an article or post about Apple. Wouldn’t it be interesting to have a piece of artwork that showed un advertised jobs at Apple TODAY. All you need to do is go to the linkup widget page, and type in Apple as the company. Here is what that widget would look like on your blog. Notice that the size of the widget can be changed easily…the widgets are the same below, just sized differently according to your own needs.
Lastly, I asked a venture capitalist once if there were any tricks he used to determine if a website would make it. He said there was, but that he hated to mention it because it sounded so simple. He said, “if the site has components or characteristics that I call a TOY factor, that is, it is so fun to just be on the site, I think it might be a winner.” Our widget page, you can find it here, is just that…it is just fun to play with.
Go nuts.
(as seen in what would dad say)
