Thanks to a comment I just received on my post from earlier today, I realize that my criticism of the site’s claims about its traffic were erroneous. The chart below shows the comparison of the Big 3 against Craigslist.org rather than Craigslist.com.

Is Craigslist really a non-profit 501(c)3? Why do they have a .org domain? I knew they were an unusual company with an atypical corporate mission, but I had assumed, especially given ebay’s investment a while back, that they were, in fact, a private corporation and not a non-profit. Maybe it’s easier than I thought for a private company to get a .org domain.
In any event, Craigslist should still have a better, more current chart on their site. Maybe they’ll update it when they get to redesigning their atrocious site.
