Gannett Reports Awful Q1 Numbers

Gannett reported that Q1 advertising revenue fell by 10.4%, with declines in all major categories including retail, national, and classifieds. Classified revenue fell by a whopping 15.8%, with a free-fall decline of 23.8% drop in real estate classifieds and a 20.0% drop in employment classifieds. Overall, total revenue declined by 7.7% to $639 million.
