This week, in looking at JobDig’s record month last month, combined with the significant increase LinkUp saw in job listings on corporate web sites across the country, I predicted that the March jobs numbers were going to surprise people with better-than-expected numbers. The consensus economic forecast was that the U.S. economy had shed 50,000 non-farm jobs in March. Well, the march jobs report was just announced, and the Department of Labor is reporting that 80,000 jobs were lost during the month. It was far worse than expected, and the worst monthly report in 5 years. I guess I need to bring my crystal ball into the shop for a few repairs.
