David Carr has written another excellent column on the front page of the New York Times business section today entitled “Ethics Tenet Is on Trial In Minnesota.” As many observers from across the country have done in the past few months in covering the civil trial of Par Ridder, Carr provides more scathing commentary on Ridder, the Star Tribune, and Avista Capital. The severe lapse in judgement, the laughably pathetic defense put forward in the trial, and the apparent lack of any action being taken by Avista are continuing to serve as an embarrassment to the Twin Cities.
